The entirely renovated dairy hut mirrors the old architecture. In particular, the stones that made up the original masonry have been meticulously preserved.

And then...
After going back to Ielma di Sotto, you cross the Ielma saddle and descend to Casera Pieltinis and, subsequently, into the Sauris hollow (CAI trail no. 218).
In Sauris, a typical, old village with characteristic houses and cottages built with the "Blockbau" technique (overlapping logs with joined notched corners), with roofs covered with wood shingles, you can visit the ethnographic centre "Haus van der Zahre" and its exhibition "La storia riemersa - Cimeli di guerra / Khriekhgedeinkhn" (The re-emerged history - War memorabilia), in addition to records of the Saurano German dialect, as well as the Historiographic Centre – S. Osvaldo Museum, which depicts the local everyday life through seven centuries. You can shop at numerous craft workshops and at the factories where the local foodstuffs, such as the PGI raw ham, the "speck", and the local craft beer are produced. Nearby, you can admire the namesake lake with the imposing dam and the bordering woods, which are inhabited and flown over by roe deer, deer, chamois, martens, skunks, beech martens, squirrels, dormice, voles, black grouses and capercaillies, various diurnal and nocturnal raptors and, recently, also by lynxes and brown bears.
In the centre of Pesariis (in the municipality of Prato Carnico), the village of clocks, where the factory of the Solari brothers was founded, you can see clocks and two monumental sundials representing the evolution of the local industry. Moreover, Casa Bruseschi is a typical Carnic aristocratic residence from the 17th-18th centuries with period furniture and tools on display.
